The Remedy Room Approach
Integrated workplace solutions
In the role of occupational therapy, Remedy Room aims to assists its corporate customers in developing and integrating disability/incapacity management solutions into their workplace. Integration occurs at three primary levels:
- with the relevant South African legislation
- with specific corporate HR practices and concerns
- with the explicit work environment and job requirements
Supplementary integration occurs at a fourth level, where Remedy Room’s offering takes on an holistic approach, encompassing a comprehensive and integrated spectrum of services including the prevention of disability, the promotion of wellness, assessments of the injured/ill at work, incapacity support, case managed vocational rehabilitation and work reintegration programmes. Each service can be offered individually as a standalone service or as a customised integrated solution.
Finally, Remedy Room uses the integrated expertise of its staff in the delivery of all services. This means that all reports, vocational rehabilitation or work reintegration plans and solutions are discussed collectively as a team before being presented to clients. In this way Remedy Room is able to leverage the value gained from the collective in a process known as Collective Perspective.
